AMAZONIAS

AMAZONIAS is a temporary exhibition about tribes of Amazonia for Le Musée des Confluences, Lyon, France.

Client

Le Musée des Confluences

Produced by Femme Fatale Studio

Illustrations : Léna Marty

My role was to animate 3 videos of 2 minutes each. The videos showcase the genesis stories of the Kayapo, Wayana Apalai, and Ashaninka tribes. Using a distinctive circular format, each video functioned as an immersive 'mini-world' that drew visitors into the cultural storytelling experience.
The engaging visual approach successfully extended visitor engagement, with guests spending significantly more time exploring the tribal heritage section compared to traditional static displays.

The Process

I worked closely with Femme Fatale Studio and illustrator Léna Marty. My process began with transforming static storyboards into animated previews, allowing production and museum team to visualize timing and pacing before full production—reducing revision cycles and ensuring alignment with the museum's vision. I prepared illustrations for animation, rigging and utilizing advanced tools like DuiK Angèla to optimize character motion. The use of Duik's animation library enabled efficient production across all three videos while maintaining consistent visual quality and meeting tight exhibition deadlines.
