Metanomicon
An haunting art collection of our vanities and technological chimeras, causing more nightmares than an enchanted future.

Metanomicon started as my first 3D NFT collection but I mostly took it as a chance to push my skills while exploring what digital art could truly be. Beyond the tech and trends, it became a space to express my vision: a dark, seductive world where chimeras, desire, and sci-fi collide. No gimmicks, just art that questions as much as it captivates.

Back in 2021, I was still at the beginning of my journey with 3D in Blender, and NFTs were the new hot trend of the moment. I saw the potential of this technology and its promise: a way for artists to reclaim ownership of their work and build a future rooted in the authenticity of creation. How ironic, then, to witness the current state of digital art, with generative AI developing at lightning speed. Yet perhaps NFTs can still find a place in this new paradigm to reaffirm the value of genuine human artistry.
That’s when I came up with the idea of Metanomicon. "Meta" refers to the Metaverse, the digital realm where human experiences are shaped by technology. It’s a world of endless possibilities, but also one where the boundaries between the real and the virtual blur."Nomicon" comes from the Greek "nomos" (νÏŒμος), meaning "a body of knowledge" or "a book of laws." Together, Metanomicon becomes "The Book of the Digital Realm", a visual exploration of the myths, desires, and illusions of technology solving all our problems—until we find ourselves trapped by it.
Metanomicon is my first NFT collection, a visual exploration of the intersection between illusion, desire, and technology, inspired by my lifelong fascinations: chimeras, eroticism, and science fiction.
The chimeras embody our faith in a technological utopia.
Eroticism serves as an allegory for desire and the allure of illusion, transforming into obsession.
Science fiction is the genre that best captures this narrative, framing humanity’s hubris and vanities.
Together, these themes explore the tension between aspiration and consequence, fantasy and reality.
I designed Metanomicon as a glimpse into a nightmare where we endlessly chase progress only to lose ourselves along the way.
